Hello Folks

Yes, still alive here. Have not been reading much comics lately. Been spending more time reading real books (lame!), and playing guitar and flute. And playing video games, namely Chivalry 2. Hopefully I’ll get something going again on this blog someday :)

Long Time No Post

 Hi Folks,

I’ve been rereading the 4-issue Dynamite run that came out a while back. While the art is fantastic, the comedy in the story leaves much to be desired. That’s probably why it never took off, unfortunately, in a very crowded industry.

I still need to get to that Target: Airboy issue sometime, featuring the return of a supposedly dead friend. Maybe I’ll get around to it soon.

Happy 2021 and beyond, to anyone reading!

I’m not sure what is happening in this “Prenumbra”. Mrs. Yronwode says “Let’s talk about you. You’re the ones who buy these books, and here’s a sampling of who you are!” A brief list of bios ensues. Who are these people? Why are we talking about them? I won’t list the bios, but since these people were famous enough to make it into an ARBBH comic, here they are:

Preface / Personal Tangent

In this issue’s “Penumbra”, Catherine Yronwode talks about the possibility of getting dual citizenship for America / Germany. Who? What? Why? I have no idea. But it’s a new factoid I didn’t know about.

She also mentions that Letitia Glozer (her sister?) has joined the editorial staff, and that Mack Fraga, Production Person, has been promoted to Mack Fraga, Production Manager. (My condolences.)

Reading this makes me feel like it would be a lot of fun to work for a comics company. Low pay... Tight deadlines... The boss yelling at you while chomping on his (or her) cigar… Ah. Good times!
